Vintage Acrylic

I am an acrylic artist. It is my preferred medium. I work in it because I want to. Never let anyone tell you what can't be done using acrylic. The sky's the limit!

Far From Ordinary

Far From Ordinary
acrylic on ampersand gessobord - 5x5 in
I thought I had a very definite idea in mind when I started this painting. But somewhere along the way the painting changed, or maybe I changed, it is hard to know. All I know is that when it was finished I knew it had to be called "Far From Ordinary."

"And I heard the sound of the wings..."

As you may have noticed from the last post, I have begun a new series I am excited about.
January is a difficult month for many. I attended the funeral of one of my dearest and best loved friends the beginning of this month four years ago. Working on this series though has already inspired me - I am hearing the sound of the wings and have been given the invitation to soar!
